Working with Skuld

The objective of Skuld’s personnel policy is to recruit resourceful, professional and socially skilled employees who are adaptable to change and have a potential for growth. We wish to develop our employees’ skills so that each employee achieves optimal results for which she/he feels valued.

Our goal is to plan for, recruit and retain staff that at any given time best meet our members’ needs.

Skuld today:

  • Offices in Oslo (head office), Aberdeen, Bergen, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Hong Kong, London, Moscow, New York and Piraeus
  • 200 highly dedicated employees, willing to go the extra mile for our members
  • Staff members represent 25 different nations
  • 50 staff members have a legal background
  • 20 additional staff members have more than 4 years of higher education
  • 15 staff members have seafaring experience
  • Women represent 50% of staff and hold positions at all levels

Competence
Skuld’s management recognises the importance of competence building and encourages continuing education for staff members. Regular internal training is prioritised, staff members represent Skuld at external seminars world-wide and our personnel policy emphasises staff advancement possibilities.

Culture
We build our business on established ethical guidelines and our values; Accurate - Bold - Caring - Dedicated. Our offices are international and characterised by cultural diversity, which enriches our working environment.

Organisational satisfaction
Every other year we carry out an organisational satisfaction survey. Skuld attracts and retains competent staff and we are pleased to see that they express high and increasing satisfaction from working with Skuld. Still, this survey is an important tool for further development and improvement of our organisation.
