Skuld today announces that Nicholas March has been recruited to lead Skuld's Singapore office. March joins from Aon where he was head of marine in Singapore, and he replaces Kjell-Åke Augustsson who is moving to lead Skuld's Piraeus office.

Skuld's South Asia hub was launched in Singapore in December 2012 on the back of significant growth opportunities across the region. Since then the office has performed ahead of expectations and has very strong capabilities in P&I, fixed premium and offshore energy markets, supported by a strong claims team.

Ståle Hansen, Skuld President and CEO, said: "Singapore and the region it serves have long been a focus for Skuld's growth, and that remains unchanged. Our involvement with the Asian marine market and its brokers continues to grow and we have no doubt that under Nick our existing relationships will be in good hands and new ones will be forthcoming very quickly.

"As a seasoned broker in the region Nick recognises the need for first-class service, which lies at the heart of everything Skuld does, and we look forward to his arrival in the office."

Until March arrives continuity will be maintained by the Singapore office, guided by Augustsson. The appointment remains subject to approval by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

March began his career as a risk analyst and moved into insurance in 2003 as a marine broker in the Middle East with Heath Lambert. He joined Aon Middle East as client director in 2007 and moved to the Singapore office in 2012.
